How YouTube Is Used

Make A Mixed Tape lets users arrange YouTube videos into personalized digital mixtapes. Videos are displayed using the official YouTube embedded player.

What the application does

Stores YouTube video identifiers and playlist order.
Displays videos through the YouTube IFrame Player.
Allows the listener to play, pause, and move between tracks.
Detects when a video ends so the next track can be loaded.
Allows users to add their own tape title, message, artwork, and track notes.

What the application does not do

It does not download YouTube videos.
It does not convert videos into audio files.
It does not host or restream YouTube video files.
It does not remove or interfere with advertisements.
It does not attempt to remove required YouTube branding or player functionality.
It does not promise that a particular video will remain available.

Video availability

A video may become unavailable because it was removed, made private, restricted from embedding, blocked in a region, age-restricted, or otherwise limited by YouTube or the video owner.

Make A Mixed Tape does not control those decisions and cannot guarantee continued access to any video.

Copyright and responsibility

YouTube videos remain hosted by YouTube. Copyright and other rights in a video remain with the applicable creators, owners, and rights holders.

Users are responsible for the YouTube links and original content they place in a tape. A link to a YouTube video does not transfer ownership of that video to the user or to Make Q Mixed Tape.
